These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Noku mobile application ("the app") published by Arman Aralbayev ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Noku. You confirm your age during onboarding. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed these Terms.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial learning.
You agree not to: - Decompile, reverse-engineer, or tamper with the app except as permitted by law. - Use the app to mass-generate content for resale or training a competing AI model. - Scrape, automate, or proxy the AI features (quiz generation, voice interview, tutor chat) beyond the free-tier rate limits listed in the app. - Upload content that is illegal to process, including CSAM, malware, or content you do not have the right to import (see Section 4). - Interfere with other users or with the underlying AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI). - Use the app to provide medical, legal, or financial advice to third parties.
You keep ownership of the documents, highlights, and notes you import. You grant us the operational permissions we need to run the app locally on your device and to transmit relevant feature inputs to the providers described in our Privacy Policy to generate quizzes, evaluate answers, power the voice interview, and reply in the AI tutor chat.
If you sign in and multi-device sync is active (see Section 6 — sync is a Premium feature), you additionally grant us the permission to store, transmit, and reproduce that content through our service providers, and to send it to your other signed-in devices. This permission exists solely to operate sync; we do not use your content for unrelated advertising purposes, and we do not train our own models on it. Provider processing, reports, retention, deletion and offline-device limitations are described in the Privacy Policy. Account deletion starts the applicable cleanup; it is not a guarantee of instant deletion of every provider record, backup or exported copy.

You represent and warrant that you have the right to import every document you add to the app. We do not verify copyright status. If you import copyrighted material owned by a third party, you are responsible for compliance with applicable fair-use / fair-dealing / research exemptions in your jurisdiction.
Quizzes, interview questions, feedback, and tutor responses are generated by large language models. They can be incomplete, incorrect, or outdated. Do not rely on Noku as a sole source for medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical decisions. Verify important information with authoritative sources.
We provide the app "as is". The AI features depend on third-party APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI) and may be unavailable during provider outages, cost spikes, or abuse events. We may temporarily restrict or disable features to keep the app sustainable.
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially violate these Terms, exceed free-tier rate limits repeatedly via tampering, or use the app in a way that threatens the app's or providers' integrity.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE APP IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD 50. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST DATA OR LOST PROFITS.
You agree to indemnify us for any claims arising from content you imported without the right to do so.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kazakhstan, without regard to conflict-of- laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Almaty.
We may update these Terms to reflect new features, legal requirements, or pricing. Material changes will be announced in-app the next time you open the app after the change. Continued use after the change means you accept the new Terms.
